Description
Flavor Profile
The sparkling wine described as a green apple and nectarine pie, it certainly has that nice light fruit flavor with a bit of citrus flavors. I was even surprised to find a subtle bread crust flavor that I couldn’t help but think of as pie (maybe because they suggested it but either way it’s good.) The aroma is very pleasant and subtle. The wine itself is very crisp, very flavorful but not complex, and refreshing.
Food Pairings
Fried Chicken! When we read through the suggested food pairing for this sparkling wine they suggested a “hot sasso fried chick.” I believe you can get away with doing your basic fried chick recipe and have a great pairing of the savory chicken and crunchy breading along with that light and crisp flavor with the wine.
One Hope Sparkling Wine, The Good
The One Hope Foundation does a lot to benefit a variety of groups that deserves assistance. They support everything from getting veterans jobs, to providing clean water in third world countries, and fighting childhood hunger here in the US. This particular bottle supports the end of childhood hunger.
The wine is a great option if you’re looking for an alternative to champagne. It’s crisp, refreshing and generally everything you look for from sparkling wine.
One Hope Sparkling Wine, The Bad
It is slightly more carbonated then other sparkling wines I’ve tried. If you are not a fan of very effervescent wines then that could be a turn off for you.
